UKIYO [u-key-yo] 世浮 is taking a different turn on the typical Japanese eatery.
An ultra minimal walk-in, sit at the counter bar type experience focusing solely on Japanese hand rolls.

The icon as itself represents multiple assets from the past and the modern era. we find a lot of patterns used in Edo art such as the sea, the cloud and the sun. Symbolising the fish by its own shape it is the center of the logo as it is the main element in UKIYO cuisine.
Characterising a ninja silhouette has a lot of meaning here. This is for the first time, Samourai was representing into a specific social class during the Edo period. It represented the order and the keeper of peace in the empire. The ninja has been created from Samourai to modernise it and give it a more mysterious and appealing look. We have here the perfect combination between the roots taken from the past and the modern era. The Ninja face can also be interpreted by Ukiyo’s chef preparing the fresh fish in front of the customers. To finish the U shape circling the head will symbolise the initial of the brand. UKIYO has also a unique font signature reminding once again the most important element of its cuisine: the sacred fish.
